Finding solutions to problems is a creative endeavor all its own.
Shortly after moving into our new mountain home, we lost 1/2 of our power late in the evening on the coldest night of the year. Thankfully, the utility company came with a temporary solution until morning.
Once the morning crew came out, they found part of the lines from the transformer to the house were only buried approx. 6" deep because of several large boulders that the original installer did not want to deal with. After repairing our lines, they suggested covering the area somehow to prevent further damage.
And, from that problem, a rock garden filled with wildflowers was born.
In addition, when the pool installers began digging for the pool, they also hit massive boulders of rock requiring two men, large jackhammering equipment and five days of sun up to sun down jackhammering to remove all the rocks.
But, all those tons of large rocks were used to create the front and back yard flower bed borders and the rock garden that now encircles the wildflower beds.
